Christmas tree hangers ceramic tile workshop

As the festive season draws closer, join me in my studio in Voorhout to create your own festive Christmas tree hangers. Personalise them for yourself, or produce some original porcelain hangers for your friends or relatives.

In this 3-hour workshop we will go through the different designs of typical Amsterdam canal houses. You will be making a set of four ceramic tiles, using everyday objects -like buttons, Lego, and lace- to imprint beautiful textures into the clay, and learn to add charming architectural details by hand. No previous experience required. All tiles will be bisque-fired and finished with an oxide wash to enhance their textures, ready for collection a few weeks after the workshop. If you are making Christmas tree hangers they will not be mounted but they will come with ribbons to hang them in your tree.

These workshops are all about connectivity, with a blend of creativity, calm, and community to carry you into the weekend. All materials and tools included, along with coffee, tea, drinks, snacks, music and a relaxed, friendly vibe.
